چکیده
Transversal applications of 3D-printing (or Additive Manufacturing) have been recently implemented in the field Geomechanics. In a process, printed volume is obtained from successive layering adjacent soil filaments. this work, fabric an as-printed has carried out by combining Mercury Intrusion Porosimetry (MIP) tests and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) observations, with aim to highlight how particle arrangements orientation shape pores are linked printing operation. The microstructural analyses showed that macropores result relative position filaments their initial distortion quasi-undrained conditions. Particle arrangement within filament strongly anisotropic, due rotative movement extruder.

The Objet PolyJet 3D Printing process provides the ability to print graded materials featuring both stiff and elastomeric polymers. This capability allows for a variety of new design possibilities for additive manufacturing such as living hinges, shock absorbing casings, and integrated gaskets. Such design features typically rely upon the ability of traditional elastomers to experience large an...
متن کاملCharacterization of 3D Printed Fracture Networks
Tracer testing has been used to obtain hydraulic properties in a reservoir system and may help characterize the fracture networks inside the reservoir. Numerous studies at various scales have shown that the distribution of many fracture properties (i.e., length, displacement) follows a power law scaling with some cutoffs. Fractal dimension is useful to evaluate the geometric characteristics of ...
متن کاملMicrostructural and Process Characterization of Conductive Traces Printed from Ag Particulate Inks
Conductive inks are key enablers for the use of printing techniques in the fabrication of electronic systems. Focus on the understanding of aspects controlling the electrical performance of conductive ink is paramount. A comparison was made between microparticle Ag inks and an Ag nanoparticle ink. The microstructures resulting from thermal cure processes were characterized morphologically and a...

متن کامل3D Printed Bionic Ears
The ability to three-dimensionally interweave biological tissue with functional electronics could enable the creation of bionic organs possessing enhanced functionalities over their human counterparts. Conventional electronic devices are inherently two-dimensional, preventing seamless multidimensional integration with synthetic biology, as the processes and materials are very different. Here, w...
